a match worth watching.
great first half, superb defending and awesome attacking.
although i was kinda expecting more from totti, who was kinda insignificant throughout the game.
Goals!
Seventh minute, with an undeserved penalty given by the biased referee, zinedine zidane managed to score a magnificent goal that JUST bounced off the crossbar and straight into the goal and out again, while Buffon totally missed it.
in the nineteenth minute of the game, an equalizer goal scored by materazzi.
FRANCE 1 ITALY 1
to the second half, a goal try by luca toni, which was later considered offside was not counted.
i thought it was kinda unfair cos i dont think it was REALLY that offside.
the ref was kinda biased i felt.
Italy, great defence.
to extra time, where zidane was sorta hugged by materazzi, and suspected to be provoked by him, runs in front of him and gives him a crazy headbutt. not hitting the ball, but materazzi's chest. i was laughing for the five minutes after. Red card, sent off pitch.
i honestly think that could be the stupidest thing he coud have done. the last match hes playing, and fighting SO hard to get to the finals, and headbutting some guy and getting yourself sent off.
thats really using your head, but in the wrong way.
Goes on to the penalties, to which barthez misses every single shot.

it was a really great match actually.
great attacking, no waiting for stupid penalties.
and great defending.
